Woks & Lox Asian/Jewish Christmas Dinner in Astoria

Just saw on Gothamist that Queens Kickshaw will be hosting a Christmas Eve Dinner for the holiday's outcasts, Asians and Jews. They're calling the event "Woks and Lox" and will feature Chinese chef Chichi Wang.

In addition to the food of both cultures, they'll have:

  • A Chinese auction
  • Mah Jong
  • A Bar Mitzvah-esque sign-in board
  • And lots more Jewish and Asian-inspired fun while throwing down some He’Brew and Fresh Ginger Ale by Bruce Cost.

The event is the brainchild of WLA member, Jeff Orlick and Veronica Chan. Great work, guys!

I'm thinking of blowing off my traditional family Christmas for this. Sounds amazing! And much less stressful. Great work, Jeff!

As a Jew (who loves Christmas, but you know) I would have loved to attended were I in town that weekend! Great idea, hope it becomes a tradition.
