Ronsley-please continue to keep us updated! :D In the interim I will handle my taco cravings (as well as my general lust for Mexican sweet bread) at Tamales Deli & Bakery.

Come to think of it, it was either there or at Blue's that I had amazing chuletas con chipolte. I got two HUGE chops (must have been from Hogzilla) smothered in hot chipolte sauce, a huge mound of rice and beans, four tortillas, and a bowl of Mexican pickles topped with fresh radishes for something like $5.

Damn, now I'm hungry.

Also very concerned about The King of Tacos. I called the number on the menu a few days ago (during the day), and the King himself answered and said he be around this weekend. He wasn't -- on Friday and Saturday nights I was left tacoless.

I miss the taco truck too. It's only been a few weeks - pretty sure I got a taco from them last month - but yikes, the absence is noticeable. :-(

I've noticed it's absence too -sad! Did some searching and found a previous post here as well as this review in Yelp Maybe they are too busy to man the truck anymore...

I also had the same craving and noticed my favorite taco truck gone... the Del Ray Taco truck also had AZTECA signage on it, that looked the same as a store on Steinway near 36th Ave?
I knew the family rented the truck for 12 hours at a time in the PM and worked on another truck during the day in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, as my taco craving was a scratch needing an itch, I just walked across the street to the Mexican Grocery/Deli, and bought my tacos there. Neat trick. Also, Try the Tamales.
