Wow... If I was to veture a guess... I would think that person who wrote the article may be sad because they were promised a fun neighborhood with a "hip crowd." But, unfortunately got stuck in a shitty neiborhood in the middle of nothing that proclaims to be a "great spot to chill and meet people"... That spot only turned out to be "sure u can meet people... If u take the train, take a cab or risk Gettin mugged to do so :)" Really??

What do I think? I think they can suck it. They probably have never even been here. From looking at their site it does seem that they just hate on everything. I'm sure they are trying to be honest about their opinions but, good luck with that attitude.

Don't fret. Astoria is soooooo far away from Hipsterville, I'm sure we'll not really see too many. Ever since they discontinued the G beyond 21st/Ely, it would take like 3 trains or a really long walk to get to the Bohemian Beer Garden. :)
