Don't pack the winter coats away just yet--after a couple of balmy days, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday return to sweater weather.

Our WLA6K Bash has legs! We're still a week away and almost at capacity, so grab your spot while there's still guaranteed admittance. We'll be featuring live band karaoke--live out your rockstar dreams on stage backed by a real live rock band. Oh, and there's free food and beer.

Speaking of food, today wraps up our Food Porn contest. Submit a shot of your steamiest edibles and you could win a dinner for two at this week's 4-Course Pork Night ($100 value).

Out Astoria's February Mixer is tonight in Astoria. Pay $5 at the door and get unlimited drinks for an hour followed by 2-for-1's til 10p.

Catch a classic film noir tonight as Robert Mitchum stars alongside Jane Greer in, Out of the Past. Museum admission is free after 4p, movie tickets are $10.

There's a Who and Zeppelin cover band taking over Gleason's tonight (in case you're reeeeeeally drunk).

More Friday events

There's a free poker tournament this weekend at the beer garden. No buy-in or pay-out, but bring home a victory and you could win a seat in a much higher stakes game.

There's a charity music/comedy event Saturday called ROCK. ROFL. RAISE. that benefits The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. $5 gets you in the door--full proceeds go to help foster children.

Tell your bros to grab their balls and head over to this beer pong tournament at the bowling alley. Cheap pitchers all night and lots of prizes.

We're loving this idea for a singles party on Saturday night. Meet your match at the bar and receive a free round for both of you.

More Saturday events

There a really cool claymation workshop that kicks off this weekend and runs daily through the 27th. It's geared toward kids--unlikely that will stop us.

Umm, who knew the beer garden served an unlimited wet brunch?! We sure didn't. For $10.95, you get a brunch menu item and unlimited bloody marys, mimosas, and peach mimosas.

There's another under-the-radar brunch on the other side of town we suggest checking out. As far as we know, this is the only all-you-can-eat brunch buffet in town--and this one weighs in at just $12. They're even throwing in a free dessert this week.

With the work-week still two days away, invite the troops over to a private karaoke room session after brunch while rates are 50% off.

The 1950's Cocktail Parties burst back on the scene this week. Deck out in your best Don Draper for an evening of classic cocktails, pin-up girls, and peep shows.

You're right Harris. It was initially listed as the 18th, but has been adjusted to the 19th now. Updating the Weekender as we speak. Thanks for the head's up!
