Snow day is over, kids!
Well, kind of. Subway service will partially resume tomorrow between Astoria and Manhattan. Currently, it looks like only the N train will be be leaving Astoria and will only go as far south as 34th St. Herald Square.
The Q line is suspended and the R & M both appear to be limited to Brooklyn. Take a look here for detailed MTA announcements.
UPDATE (5:30p) The F train will also be making local stops replacing the R/M to 34th St.

Comment by Jessie on November 1, 2012 at 12:58pm My husband got the N this morning, either 30th av or Broadway and made it to work on the Upper West Side with little hassle. He didn't leave until closer to 9am, trying to avoid the earlier rush.
Comment by jillian on November 1, 2012 at 11:29am Has anyone attempted the N train this morning? Was it a nightmare? I want to offer my place for some friends from Long Island who work in Manhattan, but only if it would be worth it!
Comment by James Kass on November 1, 2012 at 7:26am Also, according to the MTA site, the N will bypass 57th St/7th Ave in both directions, and Queensbound N trains will skip 49th street.
Comment by James Kass on November 1, 2012 at 7:21am My office is below 34th street, so no power means no work for me, no matter what shape the subways are in.
Comment by Jessie on October 31, 2012 at 9:36pm Good enough for me. It beats taking a taxi to work.
Comment by Ben Helmer on October 31, 2012 at 5:43pm This is what I thought, too. However, you'll notice the F is running on the R line up to 36th St, so we have 2 lines! If you live on Broadway, you're in a good spot. However, the N will likely be less crowded, since the F will be servicing the most of Queens.
I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go...
