I'm still waiting for WLA to approve our Astoria Hikers group.  If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'll probably just make a facebook or meetup group

Great!! I'm so excited for the enthusiastic responses.  I made a group called "Astoria Hikers" on WLA.  It's still waiting approval, but keep an eye out for it.  Now, down to business!  Anyone interested in a hike next Saturday, the 29th?!  A few possibilities:

Claudius-Smiths-Rock

Jackie Jones Fire Tower

Green Pond- Boston Mine loop

Hey Eryka- yes, so easy to get to Cold Spring- one of my favorite little towns to hike, drink, and eat!

This is awesome! If we don't have enough cars for carpooling there are tons of great hiking spots available by bus or metronorth. There are a couple trails in Cold Spring or the Appalachian trail that is super easy to get to by train.
