Astoria Named Among Ten Best Places to Live in the US

Astoria made its rounds on the Internet this week as an article on Buzzfeed about our neighborhood was shared over 10K times. The articles lists the top ten most "Incredible and Underrated Places to Live". No surprise to us that we're on that elite list...even though we're not even a city. Hmm. Although, if NYC boroughs WERE cities, Queens would be the fourth biggest in the country behind LA, Chicago, and Brooklyn.

What do you think about this article, Astoria? Do we belong on that list...and should we be behind Baltimore?!

Comment by Kevin on October 25, 2012 at 2:06pm: Article is talking about Queens, not Astoria, though it's labeled Astoria, has a picture of the beer garden, and makes mention of the beer garden in the copy. The "article" is also really an advertisement for Marriott properties. But people get excited and don't pay attention. Sorry, can't take this "article" seriously.
