Astoria Blizzard Filmmaker Gets Roger Ebert's Attention

Astoria indie filmmaker, Jamie Stuart took to the streets last week to document the snowy madness ensuing in the streets of Astoria, NY. He came away with an homage to Dziga Vertov's Man with a Movie Camera--which he has called Idiot with a Tripod.

UPDATE: Astoria Boy Needs a Christmas Miracle

Earlier in the week, we wrote a profile on nine-year-old Omar Audi--a young Astoria boy of Lebanese decent whose parents are scheduled to be deported on Christmas Day.
