New Reality Show Based in Astoria

There's a new reality show on A&E based in Astoria called "Last Chance Driving School". The show takes place at Sven Ruppaner's driving school and follows the instructor as he teaches students of all backgrounds to drive in NYC.

Snowy Streets Fuels Frustration

Recently, WABC reported on a local parent who was pulled from his car, maced, and arrested for double parking while picking up his children from P.S. 122 on Ditmars and 21st St.

Local production, Ugly Betty, canceled by ABC

People Magazine has just reported that the groundbreaking Latin crossover series, Ugly Betty, has been canceled by ABC in the midst of it's fourth season. Much of their third and fourth seasons have been taped right here in Astoria--often closing streets and eateries for filming.
