Construction and Tickets

Several weeks ago, there was construction on my street so my car was moved to another location. I was a bit flabbergasted to come home to see there were no signs posted about the construction and that my car was now missing. I called 311 who directed me to the police department who informed me that the cars were just moved not towed and told me where I could find it.
