Tell us a little bit about yourself (Required for profile verification):
Bawn and raised in NYC, Tark has held successful positions in music licensing, promotions, sales and is a regular contributing writer for the Interboro Rock Tribune.
In 2006, he was given the great opportunity to join the City's infamous, long-running "Kings of Karaoke" party as a kj/dj. Working alongside Colin "The King" and DJ FlimFlam, he learned everything there was to know about hosting events and crafting a well-orchestrated evening. (The KoK party , and Tark, were mentioned in New York Magazine's "Best of 2006" Issue.)
In 2008, Tark found a new home in Astoria and began spinning at a couple of the hood's most well-known spots. Playing an eclectic mix of new wave, electro, indie-rock remixes, post-punk, mash-ups and hip-hop, he caught the attention of neighborhood heroes DJ Belladonna and MC Hops. Tark is now a regular member of Hop's live performances and will also be co-hosting the soon to be resurrected , "Vintage Chill" event with DJ Belladonna. You can catch his set at Hell Gate Social every month.
