Italian wines and artisan cheeses class on December 5th @ Bizaare Ave Cafe. I just posted it on WLA Events, please RSVP if you'd like to attend. This is a first of a series of classes on different regions of the world.

The first one was AMAZING and it can only get better.
Come on out to Bar Bizaare. This place is so cool and normally I would be there on the first and third Thursday but my dear friend Valerie (who will be performing next week) made a switch with me just this once. You'll have to come out next we to hear her as well.

The drinks are perfectly poured, the food is out of this world and the people... meet them and you'll love them just as much as I do.

Bar Bizaare stands on the corner of 35th. Avenue and 36th. Street. There is a fantastic menu, a wonderful drink selection in an ultra comfortable space and now, live music.

Bar Bizaare:
3501 36th St
Astoria, NY 11106

It's free.

It was great! We mainly visited the Seneca Lake wineries, but we also got a one-day pass to the Finger Lakes Wine Festival. We stocked up on Keuka Springs and Dr. Franks. Reislings were the big seller there. We also visited an organic winery called Four Chimneys. They are apparently the only organic winery in the region. Thanks for asking!

Thanks Todd! I tried to get a pass for the Riesling winery, but they were sold out. I'm not sure yet which winery--I'll figure it out when I get up there. I know it's near the Cuyaga Lake area. I have an all-day pass for one day of the festival. I'm really into Rieslings and Malbecs right now, so hopefully there will be several tastings of those two. I'll keep Dr. Frank in mind!

OH how fun! which wineries? i've lived in that area (well, rochacha), and my aunt lives in syracuse. she's ALWAYS trying to get us to do a tour.

its said the WNY rieslings can be really good; dr frank comes to mind. alas, my info is dated, so perhaps you'll share all the fun wines you've tasted?

wellwishes!

I'm going to the Finger Lakes wine festival this weekend. I'll be sure to share my tasting favorites at the next meeting!
