Shanah tova! I hope everyone had a wonderful Rosh Hashannah, and that Yom Kippur proves meaningful and inspiring.
Josh and I are excited to host the next service and vegetarian potluck on September 24 at 6:30 pm. Please shoot me an email to let me know if you are able to make it to either the service, the dinner or both, and what you'd like to bring at Cassi.Kail@gmail.com (It will be sukkot, so while we don't have a sukkah, let's liven things up with sukkot inspired dishes!). See you then!

I've been going to trivia at Gleasons lately at 8pm on Weds. It might be fun to meet up for happy hour there around 6:30 or 7 and if people would like, we could form a wandering Jews trivia team or two. Other than than, weds or thurs are great.

Unfortunately I'm busy the first two shabbats, but I'll hold the Nov and Dec dates so I can come to the minyan! It's been forever since I could go!

We're planning on some social events in-between minyan dates -- mainly a happy hour of sorts! What days/dates tend to be best for everyone?

Michael - I share your sentiment! And so that people can plan their 5771 New Year accordingly, here are the dates for Astoria Minyan this fall! Mark your calendars:

Sept 24
Oct 22
Nov 19
Dec 17

If you'd like to host one or more of this dates, shoot me an email at maraeyoung@gmail.com. Details will follow as we get closer!

Shanah Tovah!

I hope I'm not making a mistake by starting a slew of comments all saying the same thing, but I just wanted to wish shana tovah to the members of Astoria Minyan. It's been a pleasure meeting so many of you in the last year and being a part of this emerging community in our neighborhood.
