Hi, I need to teach an 8-year-old girl how to do a basic knit - she's terribly interested but is getting frustrated at not being able to start a second row (and I somewhat share that frustration). Would love to pop by one of your gatherings and get some tips sometime.

Joe at Vesta said it's no problem to knit there on Tuesday and that it is generally not too busy. Let me know what you think. MexiQ is always good too.

i had an uncle that was a  tough, retired irish steamfitter and he knit to help him with his nerves..he quit smoking and drinking and his wife passed and knitting helped him....i thought this group would get a kick out of that...it was beyond comical to see him with his yarn and needles....also i think i basically joined a very female group and feel creepy, I'm staunchly hetero and feel like some single scene creepy doyley driven man, there i said it. Have fun ladies!

It was great to meet all of you yesterday and can't thank you enough for teaching me! I will check with Vesta to see how they feel about a barrage of ladies with yarn next Tuesday.
