I did! Found a guy on craiglist who refurbishes older bikes. He's from NJ and got me a sweet deal on a really nice bike. I'll be riding around Astoria as often as I can, which might not be too often with all this rain!

I always recommend a guy that I found on Craigslist. His name is Paul and he and his son refurb bikes and sell them online. He always has a big selection (50+) and prices are the best around. I've purchased 4 bikes from him over the years and never paid over $50. His place is across from Brick Cafe and his number is 718-395-2275. Tell him WLA sent ya! Browse his current inventory here.

I bought my bike from Paul too - paid a bit more money bc I wanted one that would be light enough to lug up my stairs. Good guy.

yeah! Paul is great. My partner and I each bought bikes from him recently. Paid a little more than that but had specific needs in mind. Glad to hear he's doing well in Astoria.

Bought a bike from Paul a year ago after my other one was stolen. Very happy with what I picked up. Am thinking about buying another bike and yes he does have the best prices around. Only thing is . Recently I started questioning how he could have such an inventory and am suspicious that he might be dealing in stolen bikes. Seams a little fishy. Any assurance out there from any body that he is not the store front for a massive bike theft operation or no questions asked chop shop. Need a little faith restored.

I saw someone promoting Paul on WLA about 2 weeks ago and ended up giving him a call. Bought 2 bikes from him. Since I actually left Astoria (WHY DID I DO THAT?!) he even delivered them to Rego Park for me for a fair price. Good guy. I would definitely check out his pad.
