Welcome Juan. Oliver is going to be out there bright and early. Ariana sounds like she’s all about it and Christian, Jonathan and Caroline all live nearby. Also, April and Anti sound like there ready to hit the ball around, so it’s going to be a good Saturday. Everyone else sounds really enthusiastic.

As luck would have it, something came up on my end and I won’t be back in Astoria until tomorrow afternoon. Maybe we’ll have an official meet up next weekend.

In the meantime, I hope everyone chats and a few connections are made. I know everyone wants to get the rust off and knock the ball around tomorrow…

I’ll be back in the afternoon, if anyone’s interested in playing around 2ish, shoot me an email: manhattanmanagement@gmail.com

Very Good Point Ran, Thank You.

I'll create an event so it will appear on everyone's calendar. I should be able to figure that out by this evening. Also, I'll find out if a permit is needed for Saturday. Hopefully, we're still in that early season grace period.

Oh Crap, what's up Mo! Welcome! How you been? I think your services may be needed. For everyone that doesn't know, Mo is a really great tennis player and I'm sure he can help a lotta people improve their game. Welcome Elaine! Hope to see you all on the courts. I'll reply with info on the permits and create an event today, so people can RSVP.

I can't do this Saturday or really any Saturday for a few more weeks (Zog football) and I have to make a point to get a permit as well.

Hi Gregg, you should create an event so it will appear on the calendar and people can RSVP to attend/not attend...that way you'll have a more accurate gauge for attendance. Can't wait!

Welcome Jonathan, Welcome Caroline, Welcome Christian, Welcome Ryan. This group is growing fast, which is awesome. I think we'll definitely have enough members by mid-May to fully accomplish our goal of matching up comparable players... I'm setting up a quick meeting near the park on Saturday morning, so everyone can meet quickly and get started. I think it's a really good mix of people so far. I'll post Saturday meeting time & location after work tomorrow (Friday) night. Btw, if anyone doesn't have their tennis permit, I just got mine for $100 cash at the Arsenal, which is near the central park zoo. Just take the N/W to 59th and 5th. Walk up to 61st and it's across from the seal exhibit. NYC Parks & Recreation's # is (212) 360-8133. Ask for Dan.

Check back Friday night for meeting date/time...

should inform all that astoria park tennis courts aren't free. it's either $7 an hour or $100 for the whole season. If you're interested look up "NYC parks and recreation" or visit Paragon sports in manhattan.
