What the heck is “social, team-based karaoke”?

While structured like the other competitive "ball" leagues, you won't need kickballs or bocce balls to participate with Gotham City Karaoke — just a bit of courage. Sign up today   to start your path to be crowned karaoke Champion! Our First season Launches January 2014!

Wait, how does this work?

Each Karaoke “division” is comprised of 48 performers, separated into six (6) teams. Each night, teams compete in three (3) rounds. The first two (2) rounds consist of solo performances and the third round is for group performances. After each performance, everyone in the venue may score the performers using their smartphones. Performers are rated on how well they:

  • “Sing It,” a measure of musicality, or how the performer sounds; and
  • Schwing It,” a measure of the performance and the impression the performer made on the scorer.

The last two weeks of each season are Semifinals and Finals, which are used to determine the teams that go to the City-Wide Finals.

Gameplay begins at 7:30pm and ends at approximately 9:30pm. Afterward, there are two (2) hours of open karaoke.

Awesome! How do I join!?

Check out Astoria based band Go Jungle! Don't be alarmed if (and when) happy starts to come out of your ears when you hear this...we'd just recommend having a towel nearby

We play shows. We say no to nothing.
