Why Leave Astoria?!

Posted this on Astorians too but thought I'd try over here as well.

We adopted our dog Lucy, a pointer mutt, a couple months ago, and would like to find a playmate for her who is calm, submissive, well-trained and playful. Lucy spent a lot of time in shelters and needs socialization. She is very friendly, loves people, and plays well with dogs who are submissive. She gets nervous around dominant dogs. We had a bad experience at the dog run where she was involved in a 4-dog fight - there were a couple of aggressive dogs there, and in the blink of an eye, they were all fighting. If anyone is interested, or know someone who might be - message me Smiley

Wish I could help I have the same issue!! I adopted a dog from my Aunt who never socialized him. So he's very fearful. He's gotten better with people, but dogs are another story. Instead of flight, he fights. I wish I could find a way to socialize my dog and get over his fear of other dogs!!! Its embarrassing to walk him, because people judge me based on my dog... though I'm the one who adopted him and have tried to get him better.
