Hi Jamie, it starts at 8 but some of us will get there a bit earlier. Feel free to show up in lycra as most of us will shop up after a run/bike!

Hi Michelle,

What time is the event on Wed?

Hi I am hosting an event at Mosaic this Wednesday for National Running Day to support a non profit after school program called Girls on the Run.

The idea is to come after a run or a workout and have a drink or two with other active Astorians (many of whom are also cyclist and part of my tri team)! Mosaic will donate $1 for every drink purchased during the event and many local Astoria businesses have donated items for a raffle.

Here are the details: http://www.whyleaveastoria.com/events/national-running-day

I hope to see you at Mosaic on Wednesday!

Hey Bikers, did you see this article about a cyclist getting hit by a van in Astoria? Would love for some of you to weigh in. Outrageous!

The ride from our meeting place (Hoyt Ave and 27th Street) to where we check in (Bronx County Building at Grand Concourse & 161st street) is about 50min. I suggest we leave around 9am.

Hey guys for the Tour De Bronx, We're going to meet at  Hoyt Ave and 27th Street, at the bike/ped entrance. What time should we meetup? The check in time starts at 9:30, and the 40 mile route departs at 10:30.

It's my favorite borough tour.  I'm signing up as a marshall.  I also plan on riding there in the morning if anyone wants to head out from Astoria that morning.

I did this last year with a group from Why Leave Astoria.

It's not crowded like Tour de Queens. From what I remember it was congested in the beginning, then it clears up once everyone rides on the closed off highways.

I've done it and it's beautiful and free!!!! It was a little crowded but opens up a lot! Will be doing it again this year!

OH! I'm down for this... the 40 mile one right? I'm hoping this won't be crowded like the tour de Queens... anyone have any experience with this ride?
