What bars/clubs to go to in Astoria?

Hey everyone,
I'm new to Astoria, so I really don't know too much about all the bars/clubs in the neighborhood. I have some friends coming in this weekend and I want to show them a good time. What bars/clubs will we have a good time at? I'm looking to begin the night at some fun/social bars and navigate towards dance clubs later on.

Not a big club person, but people tend to migrate to Cavo for that atmosphere... and both places are owned by at least one of the same people....; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Ryan on December 8, 2009 at 9:38pm: I generally hit Studio Square, as it's right by me and gets a decent sized crowd, Sunswicks because they have a great beer selection, fantastic bartenders, and a good crowd, or barhop on Broadway between 30th st. and Steinway. There are a bunch of ok places there, and generally no cover so it doesn't hurt to check them out.; ▶ Reply to This
