I'm thinking of enacting a plan I've had for quite some time...initiating Cinco de Patrick--a new holiday that combines the world's two greatest holidays into a twice-annual mega holiday. This gives us many more watering hole options and also helps to avoid price gauging by some of the establishments.

Shillelagh puts out a really nice spread of Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, Sheppard's Pie, Irish Soda Bread, etc. Free buffet for all those drinking starts at 4 PM. Great Irish food, music, bagpipers,Incredible pints of Guinness and other tap beers. Great people, great times.

Planning to go to Greenpoint with a friend to have a bite to eat in one of the Polish restaurants. Maybe hit up a craft beer bar in W'burg after. I'm doing Patrick's Day against the grain this year.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a Lepre-Con this year (from the same folks who do Santa-Con and Zombie-Con)? Google surprisingly unhelpful on this one. Just lost my job so I'm around for some serious boozing on SP Day!!
