I need a roommate starting in September!! I'm a 24 year old grad student looking for another girl in her 20s to split my cute, clean 2BR with! I've already lived here a year and love the area and the apartment itself. Unfortunately my roommate is moving to Long Island so I need someone to take over her room.
The apartment is only a few years old, so it's in really good condition. Beautiful, sunny kitchen and living room. 1st floor.
Your room is a little bigger, very sunny, comfortably fits a queen size bed, dresser, shelf, desk. Pretty big closet with sliding doors.
Safe neighborhood, 5 minute walk to the 46th St M/R. Also close to the N/Q. 20 minute commute into Manhattan. Down the block from a park, grocery store, laundromats, and a ton of restaurants and bars and bakeries. Lots of free parking.
Rent is $800/month plus utilities (Con Ed and internet) which usually come out to about $75. Upon moving in landlord would need 1st month rent and security deposit ($1600 total). I'm looking for someone who can stay minimum 6 months.
Ideally I'd like someone I can live harmoniously with. I'm a big fan of cooking and occasional dinner parties with friends. I like the roommate dynamic of splitting little apartment purchases (paper towels, dish soap etc) and chores (keeping common areas tidy). Haven't had much of a problem with this in the past. It's pretty homey and cozy here so I think it would be a really nice place for the right roommate. We don't have to be best friends, but let's at least be able to share nail polish and watch silly TV shows together.
Message me if you're interested!
