Hey everyone,

I'm a journalism student at CUNY. I cover Astoria/LIC as my reporting beat. I'm working on a story right now on the CSAs in the area (specifically Harvest Astoria, Astoria CSA, Hellgate CSA and LIC CSA). I'm looking for people who are members (current or former) of any of the CSAs that would be willing to chat with me a little about their experience.

In case you're wondering, my angle is basically this: what is it about this part of Queens that has led to 4 different CSAs popping up near each other? I'm also interested in personal anecdotes about why you joined and what you've gotten out of it.

It would basically entail talking to me on the phone briefly (probably about 10-15 minutes, unless you're a chatterbox!), and the story is primarily a class but there's always the possibility that I'll try to freelance it to a local paper.

Message me or email elizabeth.eckert@journalism.cuny.edu if you're interested.

Thanks a bunch,
Liza
