Event Description

On summer Sunday afternoons, Long Island City Community Boathouse offers free kayaking in Astoria on the sheltered waters of Hallets Cove at the beach at Socrates Sculpture Park at Vernon Blvd. and 31st Ave. No reservation is needed for this Sunday afternoon program.

Paddle on a first come first served basis. Duration depends upon volunteer turnout and availability of boats. All participants must wear a life jacket, sign a waiver form and be able to swim. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.
