Big aLICe Beer Dinner at The Queens Kickshaw
Tuesday, August 20 // 6pm-9:30pm

The Queens Kickshaw is collaborating with Queens' newest brewery, Big aLICe to bring you a four course beer-paired tasting menu.

Big aLICe opened to the public earlier this year, and is the city's smallest brewery - brewing 10 gallon batches. These are really small batches! Which means that instead of brewing the same beer en masse, Big aLICe will be brewing an ever-evolving line of unique and interesting one-offs. This will be the first beer dinner with Big aLICe beers, as well as the first time that their beer is being sold wholesale.

What's most interesting about Big aLICe's brewing process is their incorporation of culinary ingredients. For example, their first batch was a Belgo-American Red Ale made with local organic cheese pumpkin (Cinderella pumpkin), a large amount of American hops, and a Belgian yeast. The second batch was an IPA that was made with a very fragrant citron fruit, Buddha's Hand, from California. Upcoming recipes include a Light Belgian Ale with raisins, a non-traditional Germanic leaning beer featuring 100% smoked malt and chilies, and a wheat-based/Gorilla coffee infused stout.

Their beers are created specifically to be shared among friends and loved ones (large format only), and paired with meals (a constantly evolving variety of huge flavors). Similar to the concept of seasonality in food, the ingredients used in their brews change and evolve over time.
